MELANIE IS AN ATLANTIC FELLOW IN SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC EQUITY AT THE LONDON SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS, ONE OF THE WORLD’S LEADING INSTITUTIONS FOR SOCIAL SCIENCE RESEARCH INTO ISSUES OF POVERTY AND INEQUALITY.

Listen to Melanie discuss her experience as an Atlantic Fellow

Melanie’s research is focused on the work Black women funders and donors engage in to advance equity and justice. The work is currently titled, “We Specialize in the Wholly Impossible,” a phrase famously said by educator and activist, Nannie Helen Burroughs to acknowledge the often ignored work of Black women.
